Stop and admire the breathtaking view around the spa town of Merano, the dewy meadows, thick woods and imposing mountains. Twittering birds, the sun-warmed landscape, relaxation and anticipation of what the day can bring - all this is a holiday morning at the Waldbichl.
Claudia's husband, Oswald, is an excellent carpenter and has lovingly furnished the well-lit rooms in natural moon-cut wood - with a reading corner, a TV, bath and shower, WC and a priceless view from the balcony - all this awaits you at the Waldbichl.
In our parlor you can enjoy a hearty farmer's breakfast with home-baked Val Venosta, or Vinschgerle, rolls - attached together two by two - with home-made preserves and local honey, and of course, speck, the local smoked bacon - so tasty!
Gut zu Wissen
Your reservation is valid if sent in writing via mail, fax or e-mail and/or confirmed by us in writing and once a deposit has been paid. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm a specific room number.
The rooms will be ready as of 2 PM on the day of arrival. Should you arrive earlier, we will be glad to welcome you on the sun terrace or in the parlour. Should you be unable to arrive by 6 PM on the date of arrival, we ask you to please let us know. On the day of your departure, we request that you vacate your rooms by 10.30 AM. We appreciate your understanding. On Sundays, arrivals are possible only after 5 PM. We appreciate your understanding!
Thursday is our day off and the restaurant remains closed. We are pleased to give you advice for dinner in our surroundings.
On Sunday our room cleaning service is only provided for arrivals and departures.
Dogs will be accepted only after prior agreement, with their own basket or blanket. They are not to enter the dining room. The dog's owner shall be responsible for any damage to the furnishings. The charge per day, without food, is € 15,00.
Cancellation policy
The right of withdrawal as laid down in the Consumers' Code is not contemplated –
however, we are willing to apply the following conditions for withdrawal:
- Cancellation until 28 days prior the day of arrival:
the deposit will be retained.
- With groups or cumulative bookings,
cancellations until 84 days prior the day of arrival:
the deposit will be retained.
- Cancellation from 27 days before the day of arrival or in case of no-show:
80% of the agreed total price less the paid deposit.
- With groups or cumulative bookings,
cancellations until 83 days before the day of arrival or in case of no-show:
80% of the agreed total price less the paid deposit.
- In case of early departure or late arrival:
100% of the agreed current price for every day not used.
To avoid any unpleasantness, we advise taking out travel cancellation insurance,
for example at a travel agency near you.
