The flowering of our buckwhea

Buckwheat (fagopyrum esculentum) is a type of flowering plant in the Polygonaceae family.
The scientific name comes from a combination of the Latin word "fagopyrum fagus", which means beech, often in reference to a beech tree and the Greek word "piròs", which means wheat. It's a herbaceous plant that completes it's life cycle in 80-120 days.
It reaches a height of 60-120 cm depending on the species. Because of it's great nutritional value, this plant is often used in commercial cereals and grains.
